HI, I’M AFURE!

I am a passionate designer, avid Sims player, and fashion enthusiast. I have recently completed a Master of Fine Arts at The Ohio State University in Design, as a part of the Design and Research Development program. My research tapped into my interest in emerging technologies and how to leverage them in design and design research. During my graduate education, I cultivated my knowledge of co-design research methods and user experience research while further exploring the Research Through Design (RTD) approach.

I earned my BFA in Graphic Design from Minnesota State University, Mankato, where I also sprinted for the Women's Track and Field Team.

Throughout my undergraduate journey, I honed my skills in Brand Identity Design and Graphic Illustration, drawing aesthetic inspiration from social media, pop culture, and Gen-Z trends. I excelled in using problem-solving and design elements to deliver innovative branding and marketing solutions. In my later years of study, I discovered a profound interest in UX/UI design, finding immense satisfaction in crafting functional visual designs that addressed my peers' unique psycho-social needs. My passion for social media and pop culture seamlessly merged with user research and consumer behavior insights.

As a Student-Athlete, I cultivated essential soft skills such as effective communication, leadership, collaboration, adaptability, and empathy. These experiences have shaped me into a versatile and dynamic designer, ready to tackle any creative challenge!
